Sensibiliser un public international de doctorant.e.s en électronique quantique sur l'égalité f/h dans les carrières scientifiques.

Tel était l’objectif de l’atelier commandité par l’Institut Néel dans le cadre du projet européen Réseau de Formation Innovante (Innovative Training Network), subventionné par la Commission Européenne (programme Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions). Je fus agréablement surprise de constater combien ce public composé majoritairement d’hommes (12 sur 15) se sentait extrêmement concerné par la question, convaincu d’être une génération qui agira différemment de ses aînés !
Outre l’importance de dresser le constat mondial en matière d’inégalités (notamment à travers le phénomène du « leaky pipelines », littéralement tuyau percé, qui illustre la perte en ligne des femmes à mesure que l’on progresse dans la hiérarchie scientifique), cet atelier fût l’occasion pour moi d’innover en faisant appel à une experte du théâtre forum, Karen Capoccioni. Ainsi avons nous conçu un atelier qui permit aux hommes de se mettre à la place des femmes et aux femmes à la place des hommes et d’expérimenter avant de débattre.
Raising awareness among an international audience of quantum electronics PhD-students on f/m equality in scientific careers was the objective of the workshop held at the Neel Institute and CNRS as part of the European Innovative Training Network project QuESTech, sponsored by the European Commission, as part of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. It came as a welcome surprised to see how much this audience, composed mainly of men (12 out of 15), felt extremely concerned by the issue, and convinced that they were a generation that would act differently from their elders.
In addition to the importance of drawing up a global report on inequalities (in particular through the phenomenon of a « leaky pipeline », literally a pierced pipe, which illustrates the online loss of women as they progress through the scientific hierarchy), this workshop was an opportunity for me to innovate by calling on an expert from Forum theatre, Karen Capoccioni. Thus, we designed a workshop that allowed men to put themselves in the shoes of women and women in the shoes of men and to experience before debating.
